Exercise Norming
Vernalis has done extensive work on tool designing and as a result has
developed a range of tools to assess different competencies. These
exercises cater to a wide pool of managers from various functionalities,
industries and levels.
Exercise norms are generated by analysis of a large and varied participant
set on a particular exercise. Once these are available, any
new group taking the exercise can compare its performance with the
performance of a comparable group from the norm database. Thus, it would
be able to know "where it stands" in relation to its peers.
Vernalis has norms available for many of its tools. It is also in the
process of creating norms for other tools. Participants in the norming
process not only get an assessment of their own competence but also are
the first recipients of norms as they are evolved. There are also
associated cost advantages - a norming discount is available for
taking an exercise while it is being normed.

Having worked with different organisations and with the extensive
experience in assessing candidates from different industries, functions
and levels, Vernalis has designed Assessment Centres for some critical
positions within the industry.
Vernalis has studied these positions to evolve a competency set and
