A simulation is a tool, which replicates a work environment as the setting
for assessment. Participants are observed and assessed in a business
context, asked to deal with important business matters, and make important
decisions. They may also be called upon to lead a team in resolving a
business issue, or to demonstrate ability to think through and solve
business problems.
From the above, it is possible to make realistic predictions of their
on-job performance.
Simulations take various forms such as Business Games, Role plays,
In-Basket exercises, Fact finding exercises, Case discussions, Analysis
presentations, Leadership Games, etc.
